Wángfǔjǐng street is a shopping avenue near the Fraternal Cooperation International Hotel Beijing. The street was also formerly known as Morrison Street in English, after the Australian journalist George Ernest Morrison.  Wangfujing is also one of the oldest parts of Beijing, alongside Liulichang.

Just outside this beautiful Fraternal Cooperation International Hotel Beijing, is the famous and favorite venue for Chinese cultural activities since it was opened in the year 1954. Beijing Exhibition Center is the city’s first large-scale and all-inclusive venue. It has three East Wing exhibition halls and a single large hall. Beijing Exhibition Center is primarily intended for the exhibit of heavy industrial and agricultural machinery.

 

With more than 40 years of existence, Beijing Exhibition Center has displayed several significant exhibitions. Some of these notable events are the annual International Military Logistics Equipment Exhibition, the 1996 to 1999 China International Financial Technical Exhibitions, and the 1997 Italy Marco Polo Fashion Expo.
